Back up to Google Drive
Send a copy of your club’s records to your own Google Drive every day.
Who can do this: Administrators. A Manager too, if it’s switched on for Managers in Settings → Backups.
What is saved
Every day, Rocket Pocket adds a dated folder of spreadsheet (CSV) files to Rocket Pocket Backups in your Google Drive, inside a folder with your club’s name: transactions, table games, food and drink orders, reservations, stock, stock changes and the staff roster.
The files include your customers’ names and phone numbers, and the email addresses given with bookings, so use a Google account you keep safe. They never include passwords.
Connect Google Drive
- Open Rocket Pocket at your club’s own rocketpocket.app address.
- Open Settings and go to Backups. Press Open Backups.
- Read Before you connect and tick I understand.
- Press Connect Google Drive, sign in to Google and allow Rocket Pocket to add its files.
- Back in Rocket Pocket you see Google Drive connected.
Use a Google account that no other club connects. Google keeps one Rocket Pocket connection per account, so disconnecting one club would stop the other club’s backups too.
Choose the time
- Under Daily upload, keep Upload every day switched on.
- Choose a time when the club is quiet.
- Press Save schedule.
The time uses the time zone shown under it. Rocket Pocket takes it from the computer or phone that first saved the schedule or connected Google Drive, and keeps it.
Press Upload now for an extra copy at any time. Every upload is listed in the Upload log.
If something goes wrong
A failed daily upload is tried again after 5 minutes, 30 minutes and 2 hours.
If Google ends the connection, Rocket Pocket shows Google Drive disconnected — reconnect. Tick I understand and press Reconnect Google Drive.
If your Drive is full, free some space and press Upload now.
Stop the backups
Disconnect stops the uploads and removes Rocket Pocket’s access at Google. Files already in your Drive stay there. Any other club connected to the same Google account loses its access too.
